President Donald Trump, alongside Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin, revealed the news in the Oval Office. The F-47, described as "the world’s first sixth-generation fighter jet," represents a significant leap in technology and capability. The contract for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase is valued at approximately $20 billion, with the potential for hundreds of billions of dollars in orders over the program's lifetime.
