The Senate is set to vote on the confirmation of Emil Bove as a federal appeals court judge on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday, July 28th. This follows a contentious period marked by significant opposition and procedural drama. On July 17th, the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced Bove’s nomination to a Senate floor vote despite objections and a walkout. This decision came after 900 former DOJ lawyers wrote a letter opposing his confirmation. Concerns have been raised about Bove’s support for Trump running for a third term and his involvement in the DOJ review of the Epstein case.
